It’s time to meet the three finalists in the Lynn News Service with a Smile competition sponsored by Specsavers.

The competition is part of this year’s Mayor’s Awards – and it really fired the imagination of Lynn News readers.

Natalie Fountain who works at Eatwell in Lynn High Street has been nominated for a Mayor's Business Award Service with a Smile catergory.

We had no fewer than 55 nominations and in a voting period of just a week received 700 votes by text or from the coupon we printed in the paper.

Three finalists will be invited to the Mayor’s Business Awards on Friday, March 7 when the winners of all categories will be announced.

So the finalists are:

1 Karen Malkan, restaurant manager at Congham Hall Hotel;

1 Hannah Farthing, of Old School House Hair in Old Hunstanton;

1 Natalie Fountain who works at Eatwell in High Street, Lynn.

Despite the huge numbers of votes it was a close thing and there will effectively be three winners on the big night.

Lynn News editor Nick Woodhead said: “It shows customer service is extremely good in West Norfolk and that people really do appreciate it.

“We are delighted the competition has gone so well.”
