The Lynn committee of Macmillan Cancer Support is celebrating its Golden Anniversary this year, so it was fitting that the first donation received should be from the Tilney Golden Girls.
The ladies who form the Golden Girls gave £1,500, raised at several events ranging from quizzes to a themed 1920’s tea party.Their hard work over the year meant that they raised a total of £4,000 for various charities, of which Macmillan Cancer Support received £2,000.
Macmillan’s Howard Moore commented on all the fun the ladies had on raising the money with their hard work and said: “It is a brilliant start to our 50th anniversary and our grateful thanks go to the Golden Girls.”
