A Tilney St Lawrence aunt is supporting a ‘yomp’ from Lowestoft to Old Hunstanton Beach to raise money for her two nephews after they were diagnosed with muscular dystrophy.

The event is being held in aid of Forbenandsam, a charity set up by Paula Galley’s sister, Anna Rogers and her husband Owen, from Bourne.

Mrs Rogers’ sons, nine-year-old Ben, who was born at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and Sam, five, were diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy last November.

Former Royal Marine and veteran fundraiser Paul Russell will be doing the walk, which will start at 9pm on Saturday, in Lowestoft, and end at Le Strange Arms Hotel at midday on Sunday.

Mrs Galley hopes the proceeds will help Ben and Sam to live with the effects of their condition a little more easily. Anyone wishing to sponsor the Yomp should call 07511810280 or email: neilandpaulag@aol.com

Alternatively, they can go on the Forbenandsam Facebook page and give directly to the charity.
