Stunning scenery and some of Norfolk’s most famous landmarks will be on the agenda for participants in a charity cycling event next month.
Organisers of Cycle Together Sandringham have unveiled the four routes available to riders who sign up to take part in the event on Sunday, June 12.
The annual ride is taking place to raise vital funds for respite support provided at the Park House hotel, where the ride will start and finish.
Participants can choose from routes covering 10, 20, 50 and 100 miles respectively.
The 10 mile loops out to Shernborne and back, with a halfway feed station outside the Wrought Iron and Brass Bed showrooms.
The 20 mile takes the cyclists out to Sedgeford and then back via Great Bircham, where there will be a feed station at the village hall, and then past Houghton and Anmer on the return to Park House.
The 50 milers make their way to Flitcham, the first hill of the day, and then to Holkham via Bircham and Ringstead. The halfway feed station is in the magnificent grounds of the Holkham Estate, where riders can refuel before returning via the Creakes, Syderstone, Houghton and Anmer.
The 100 milers follow the 50 mile route to Holkham, then take an inland route to Holt, where they have their second feed station at Gresham’s School cricket pavilion, before taking the hilly coastal route back to Holkham.
After a final stop for refreshments, they rejoin the 50 mile route for the return to Park House.
Park House fundraiser Phil Davies said: “These routes cover some of the most beautiful countryside and historic landmarks of Norfolk as well as our glorious coastline.”
A fete is also planned to take place in the grounds of the hotel on the day.
