Organisers of next month’s Active Fakenham week are offering residents the chance to run around the town’s racecourse.
Run Fakenham, which will take place on the first day of the programme, Sunday August 23, between 10am and 1pm, gives people the opportunity to take part in a three-mile race, covering three circuits of the track.
Participants can run individually or in a relay, while there is also a one-lap fun run.
Other attractions will include sports taster sessions, stalls, face painting and a barbecue.
The run is one of the two main events of the week, with the other being the Fakenham 50 cycle ride on Sunday August 30.
Riders can choose from any of five routes, which will cover distances of between 14 and 75 miles.
There will also be a host of entertainments in the community centre garden, including food, stalls, face painting, home-made cakes, a bar, barbecue, live folk music and massage.
Registration for both events is now open at Sweets’n’Things in Oak Street, or by phoning 07887 803091 or 07803 131118.
