BREAKING NEWS - Pedestrian injured in collision near Lynn Mart
Traffic Police on the scene of an incident outside the Globe on King Street.
A PEDESTRIAN has been injured following a collision with a car close to the site of the Lynn Mart this evening.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene in King Street at around 5.30pm today and a roadblock remains in force.
A police spokesman said one person had been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, but could not give any further details about their age or the extent of their injuries.
The area had been busy with youngsters enjoying children’s day on the second day of the annual fair, which is traditionally the busiest day of the entire two-week festival.
