BREAKING NEWS - Tributes left at scene of crash in which boy, 3, died
TRIBUTES have been left at the scene of a road accident near the site of the Lynn Mart in which a three-year-old boy died last night.
Flowers were taken to the site in King Street with one message reading: “RIP little man. Our thoughts are with your family.”
Hundreds of messages of condolence have also been left on social networking sites Twitter and Facebook.
The incident has also prompted calls for surrounding roads to be closed throughout the fair.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene following the incident, which happened at around 5.30pm yesterday afternoon.
The boy was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious head injuries, but doctors were unable to save him.
His death was confirmed by Norfolk Police shortly after 9pm last night.
Hundreds of youngsters had been in the area around the Tuesday Market Place, enjoying the children’s day of the Lynn Mart – the second day of this year’s event.
The day is traditionally the busiest of the two-week fair.
Further updates will follow throughout the day.
