A man remains in a serious condition following a single car crash on the A47 at Walpole Highway last night.
The crash happened at around 5.50pm last night on the A47 westbound carriageway after the vehicle collided with the central reservation.
Fire and ambulance services were called to the scene where the road was closed and diversions were put in place.
The air ambulance took the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, to Addenbrookes hospital for treatment.
The road reopened by around 11pm, with road users advised to avoid the area for several hours while the road was cleared of debris, repairs could be made to the central reservation and investigations into the cause of the collision could begin.
