UPDATE - Downham: Man suffered brain haemorrhage or heart attack in collision

A MAN was taken to hospital in a serious condition following an accident where the car he was driving was in collision with a van and shop window overlooking Downham town square on Wednesday.
The man, who was in his 60s, is thought to have suffered a brain haemorrhage or heart attack. He had to be released from his black Toyota Yaris by fire crews.
He was treated on scene for injuries before being taken to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The car was in collision with a parked white LDV Maxus before colliding with the the front of a ladieswear store, The Stock Shop, at around 12.30pm at the junction with Bridge Street.
Nobody from the store was injured and diversions were quickly put in place while the road was closed.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
