WEETING: Two hurt in early morning crash

Two people were injured after a two-car crash on Brandon Road in Weeting this (Thursday) morning.

Norfolk police said a Volkswagen Polo and an Audi A6 were in collision at around 7.45am, blocking Brandon Road until about 10.10am.

Paramedics treated two patients for neck injuries at the scene, with one also suffering from a head injury.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The conditions of the casualties were not serious and they were transported to West Suffolk Hospital (at Bury St Edmunds) for further treatment.”
