WEREHAM: Boy, 14, airlifted to hospital after crash

A teenager was airlifted to hospital with head injuries following a three-vehicle crash near Wereham last night.

Four other people were injured in the incident on the A134 Stoke Road, which happened just before 6.30pm,

A 14-year-old boy lost consciousness following the crash between a black Renault Megane, a silver Renault Megane and a Vauxhal Zafira. He was airlifted to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

An East of England Ambulance service spokesman said four other people were also taken to hospital, including a woman with an arm injury and a man suffering back pain.

Three of the injured people had to be released from the vehicles by fire crews from Downham and Methwold.

The road was closed for more than four hours.
