West Lynn: First electric vehicle charging point for West Norfolk

MOTORISTS now have access to an electric vehicle charging point in West Norfolk.

In what is thought to be a first for the borough, the high technology charging electric vehicle (ev) charging point has been installed at West Lynn’s Little Chef restaurant, in Clenchwarton Road.

The closest point currently is thought to be at the Echtech Centre, Swaffham.

Little Chef, famous for its all day breakfasts, is bringing charging points to 126 of its sites by next spring.

A spokesman said: “This will mean 90 per cent of the UK will be no further than 30 miles from a Little Chef equipped with an ev charging point.”

Little Chef has teamed up with renewable energy firms SSE and Chargemaster to offer the facilities free until December next year.

The Government is to map all available charging points but an official list is not yet available.
