A family has paid tribute to a “loving and caring” woman who has died, aged 100.
Ida Gapp, known as Dolly, pictured above when she celebrated her 100th birthday earlier this year, died at Ashville House, in Downham, on Monday.
She was born in Whittington to Harry and Ellen Reeve and was educated in Gooderstone. Mrs Gapp went into service before marrying Ted Gapp in 1941. They had one son, Terry. She is survived by two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In paying tribute to his mum, Mr Gapp said: “She was loving and caring. She always worked very had in her life. She was a wonderful mum.”
A funeral service will be held at Mintlyn Crematorium on October 9 at 3.15pm.
