It is an annual rite of spring ... but the tulip fields that bloom locally each April are very short-lived.

This picture was taken by photographer Paul Marsh off the Setch Road at Blackborough End.

The tulips have been planted by PS & JE Ward, a nursery based at Terrington St Clement. It is not the colourful petals they are after, rather the bulbs, so the flowers will be chopped off by Sunday.
