TV star Stephen helps to raise thousands at Swaffham charity quiz

A charity quiz chaired by television personality Stephen Fry has raised more than £4,000 in memory of a Swaffham man who died from a rare form of cancer two years ago.

Thirty-two teams, containing more than 180 players, took part in the event organised by the family of Kevin Frost, which was held at the Green Britain Centre. Kevin died from Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, in October 2012, aged 23.

Kevin’s stepmother, Pam, pictured above with Mr Fry and her husband Stuart, said: “Everyone had an amazing evening and Mr Fry was fantastic.”

A total of £4,258 was raised during the evening, which will be shared between the Teenage Cancer Trust. who funded a unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital where Kevin was treated, the Swaffham and Litcham Home Hospice, and Steph’s Wishes, a charity which provides special experiences for people with cancer.
