There will be a Mind, Body and Spirit Fayre at South Wootton Village Hall in Church Lane, South Wootton, raising money for Oxborough ward (respiratory) and Stanhoe Ward (gastroenterology) at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The event, on Saturday, has been organised by twins Melanie and Mandy Spiller.

From an early age the twins have liked to help fundraise and support charities. They were involved in organising charity events at their secondary school.

Mandy currently works in a school and she has been a member of the Friends organisation. Last year they organised a Mind Body and Spirit Fayre for a children’s cancer charity.

Melanie has been a discharge planning assistant at the QEH for the last four years and she wanted to raise money for the wards she works on. Both twins were born at the hospital and they are really excited about supporting it.

She said: “Last year we had a very successful event for a children’s cancer charity so we decided to do another one this year for the QEH.

“We have 20 stalls, a mixture comprising healing, tarot, medium, beauty, and gifts. There will also be nice Christmas presents for sale, a raffle and light refreshments: tea and coffee and snacks.”

The twins, who live in Long Sutton, hope to raise £500 for the hospital from the event.

Admission is £2 andthe doors will be open from10am to 4pm.
