Two people have died in separate collisions on a West Norfolk road this week.

A woman in her 20s died when the Vauxhall Corsa she was driving left the A1065 near Weeting and collided with a tree, between 10.30 and 11pm on Monday.

An air ambulance was sent to the scene, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

And a male motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries in a three-vehicle accident on the same road near Hilborough at around 12.25pm on Wednesday.

The man, who had been riding a Yamaha bike, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, which also involved a Citroen Xsara and a lorry.

A man and a woman who were travelling in the Citroen were taken to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital with minor injuries. The lorry driver was unhurt.

Investigations have been launched into both crashes and police want to hear from witnesses or anyone who saw any of the vehicles involved prior to the collisions.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the roads policing unit, based at Swaffham, via the non-emergency 101 number.
