Two West Norfolk villages are asking residents for their views on whether they should develop neighbourhood plans for their areas.

Consultations began yesterday among villagers in Snettisham and Tilney All Saints to seek public support for the idea.

Community leaders in the two villages have submitted an application to West Norfolk Council to have the entire parishes desgnated as neighbourhood areas, the first stage towards instigating a neighbourhood plan.

The plan would allow the villages’ parish councils to set out their vision for future development, which would have to be taken into account by developers submitting applications in those areas.

A six week public consultation began on Monday and is due to continue until Monday, June 13.
