A man has been released on bail after two people were injured, one of them seriously in a crash in Hunstanton yesterday afternoon.

The incident happened in Le Strange Terrace shortly after 1pm on Tuesday, when a blue Audi A6 was in collision with a man and a woman, both in their 80s.

They were both airlifted to hospital. The woman is believed to have sustained serious injuries, including a head injury and a suspected fractured pelvis. The man suffered a minor leg injury.

The driver of the Audi was arrested at the scene and taken to the police investigation centre at Saddlebow for questioning.

He was subsequently released on bail to report back to officers on July 20.

Anyone who saw the incident, or has information about it, is asked to contact PC Tom Allison, of the Swaffham roads policing unit, via the non-emergency 101 number.
