Winter maintenance of a West Norfolk wood continued this week as volunteers took part in a coppicing event organised by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust.

The session was held in the Reffley wood on Monday as participants practiced the traditional art of woodland management in which young tree stems are cut close to ground level in order to help bring about new growth of many stems, which can then be harvested in years to come.
