With one week to go until the deadline for voter registration ahead of next month’s EU referendum, officials have made a last-ditch plea for people to ensure they can have their say.
People will have the chance to decide whether they want to remain in or leave the European Union on June 23.
But, to have that say, people must make sure they are registered to vote by next Thursday, June 7.
Maxine O’Mahony, local counting officer for Breckland Council, said: “Registering to vote is quick and easy but you must ensure you are on the electoral roll by the end of June 7.
“If you’re already registered to vote, you don’t need to do anything except look out for your polling card in the post.”

Applications for postal votes must also be submitted by next Wednesday, June 8. Proxy vote applications can be made until June 15.
