Walpole St Andrew runner Matt Pyatt on Wednesday evening he travelled to Great Yarmouth to run in the Great Yarmouth 5-mile road race.
This was the last in the three-race series. The course was two laps with half being along a blustery seafront.
Pyatt had an excellent race to finish fourth overall out of the 267 finishers in a personal best time of 26-40, beating his previous best over the distance by a huge 44 seconds.
Previously he had helped his club Ryston Runners to 18th overall out of the 50 teams competing at the National Masters Road Relays held at Sutton Park in Sutton Coldfield for over 35’s.
Pyatt was the fastest runner of the club, running the first stage in 15-55.
