The nine-year-old boy who fell out of a moving coach on the A47 at Tilney All Saints remains in a critical condition this morning (Tuesday, April 15).

Sebastian Goold, from Wansford, Peterborough, suffered head and leg injuries on Sunday afternoon and is being treated at the Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.

The youngster and his father were among 20 children and 10 adults from Stamford Rugby Club who were returning after competing at a tournament in Holt.

Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding Sebastian’s fall. Officers say the door “somehow” opened when people were queuing for the toilets immediately before the incident.

The double decker coach will be examined by officers and colleagues from the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency.
