Community leaders fear their village could lose its public toilets unless a spate of vandalism stops.

The toilets at the Curlew Centre, Sutton Bridge, have been vandalised five times in a year and the parish council has put up a £100 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible.

Chairman John Grimwood said: “I think if we catch one, and one is prosecuted, it might put the rest off.”

The facility was closed for several weeks earlier this year because of damage.
