Love was brewed over a cup of tea for a Watlington couple who have celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary.
Michael Bush first set eyes on future wife Jean when she brought him tea as he helped to build a housing estate in St Germans.
Bricklayer Mr Bush laid solid foundations from this meeting and the couple tied the knot on August 27, 1955, in St Germans Church.
They went on to have four children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The couple, who are both aged 81, celebrated their milestone anniversary with two parties and raised £415 for the East of England Air Ambulance.
Mrs Bush has put the secret of their long marriage down to working together.
She said: “We pulled together to bring up the family. Things were hard but you get through it. We have a nice family and a lovely home. What more can you ask for?”
