Watlington woman admits drink driving

A 31-year-old woman from Watlington has pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while over the limit in Lynn last month.

Rolanda Andrijauskaite, of Lark Road, admitted to drink driving on Wisbech Road on February 12, where she was found to have 74 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than twice the legal limit of 35.

Fergus Harold, prosecuting, said the defendant had been stopped by police at 3.25am when she drove across their path and through a red light.

George Sorrell, mitigating, said that she had gone to see a friend and they had been celebrating, but while there she got a call tosay her mother unwell and left.

Magistrates disqualified her from driving for 20 months, reduced by 20 weeks if she undertakes a rehabilitation course.

She was ordered to pay a total of £255.
