The playing field at the Swaffham Infant and Nursery School was crammed full of games, competitions, craft stalls and displays on Saturday.

The school’s Fun in the Sun fete, organised by a new committee of the Friends of Swaffham Infants School, was appropriately named as it was held under a blue and sunny sky.

Committee members Jo O’Connor, Lorraine Thompson and Louise Meuller, led organisation of the event and provided something for everyone, whatever their age.

Friends and teachers manned the attractions and parents and supporters turned out in force to help the school raise money both for school equipment and to fund the annual pantomime.

There was also a popular bouncy castle and head teacher, Marion Link, filled her car with balloons and challenged visitors to guess the number.
