Two bowls players tipped the scales at Fakenham Racecourse when they were weighed for a sponsored slim when they will try to shed up to 10 stone between them.

The pair are fundraising for the Bowls Hall at the Gallow Indoor Bowls Club, where they hope to bring equipmemt up to standard and increase the energy efficiency.

Ted Beckham, 76, would like to reach 11 stone, but will only unveil his current weight at the final weigh-in. While 73-year-old Jack Bedingfield Dennis, chairman of the bowls club, hopes to lose four-and-a-half stone, from his current 17-and-a-half stone weight.

Their final weigh-in will take place at Fakenham Racecourse on Ladies Day, May 31, 2015.
