Swaffham’s Rotary Club launched its annual charity golf day this week by unveiling the chance to play at one of the world’s most famous clubs.
Dozens of players are expected to take part in the fundraiser at the Swaffham Golf Club on July 6, which is in aid of the East Anglian Children’s Hospices (EACH).
The competition will be followed by an auction whose lots include the chance for four people to play at Wentworth in Surrey, the venue for the prestigious BMW PGA Championship, and a limited edition print of legendary commentator Peter Alliss being inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame three years ago.
Event organiser Denis Bishop is pictured above preparing to tee off along with, from left, Neville Robinson, EACH Swaffham shop manager Harriet McBride, Swaffham Golf Club president Malcolm Hardingham, Rotary president Jane Harding, Mike Cornwell and Ian Pilcher.
Entry forms for teams of up to four can be obtained from Mr Bishop on 01760 721115 or the golf club on 01760 721621. MLNF15PM05051
