The sister of a woman who lost her battle to a brain tumour has raised £2,425 for Red Wellies.

Emilie Walker, with help from Neil Gotsell, organised a disco in memory of Aimee Walton, who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer in March 2012 and died in October the following year.

More than 200 people went along to the disco at West Lynn Sports and Social Club on May 22.

The event also included a raffle with prizes donated by shops in Lynn.

Emilie said: “We are really pleased with the amount of money raised but we still need a lot more for brain tumour research.”

Red Wellies have received the following donations: £60 from Andrew Wilson, £115 from Nisha Sirju, £80 from Peter Bennett, £315.79 from P Remblance and £50 from Jenny and Robert Walker.
