West Norfolk’s Islamic Association had a social event to celebrate Eid Ul Fitr; the feast that follows the ending of Ramadan, and invited local councillor Richard Bird to join them for the evening.

Azam Gabbair welcomed all with familiar words and reported that the group was going from strength to strength. Over 100 men, women, boys and girls attended the feast that was put together by the ladies of the group with traditional dishes as well as some new style foods.

Richard Bird met with the community leaders to discuss methods for developing understanding with the Islamic community inside West Norfolk.
