James Veck-Gilodi, lead singer and song writer of rock band Deaf Havana, has donated one of his precious guitars to help West Norfolk MIND.

The signed Gretch G9500 Jim Dandy Flat Top 2BS is to is to be auctioned at MIND’s charity ball on Saturday, November 7, at Lynn’s Dukes Head Hotel.

In addition to the guitar there are signed lyrics to I Will Try, a song James wrote about being more positive and a sealed letter to the new owner of his guitar.

James said ‘I am a patron of West Norfolk Mind and know how important their work is to people struggling with their mental health.

“I grew up in Norfolk and still have many friends there but I now live in London and am often touring so it is difficult to support the charity as much as I would like, but this is one way I can help’.

Zena Penty, volunteer co-ordinator for West Norfolk MIND, said: “This is a very generous and personal donation by James and I am sure there are many people who would be delighted to own it.

“We have some great but affordable auction prizes including a signed Manchester United Football and are really excited about the event which for £40 also includes a 3 course meal, casino, band and disco which is great value.

“The theme is Dress to Impress, so a dinner suit is welcomed but not compulsory”.

There are still a few tickets left which can be purchased by emailing Sharon at charityball@
