The way in which West Norfolk bus passengers’ concessionary travel passes are renewed will change from today.

A new system is being introduced which Norfolk County Council officials say will automatically renew a traveller’s 12 month pass two weeks before the current one is due to run out.

However, passengers will be charged £10 to renew a pass if they have moved to a new address and not informed the authority first. The change will not affect holders of disability travel passes who will still have to contact the council to renew them.

But officials maintain the new system will be more efficient to run.
