West Norfolk residents are being urged to participate in an online survey bout the waste and recycling service – as well as getting the chance to win an iPad mini.

Following an online survey last year, residents now have another opportunity to say what whether the service is meeting their expectations.

The survey will provide valuable customer feedback and help to identify existing and new issues that may need to be investigated and addressed.

West Norfolk Council leader Brian Long said: “Most local people do a really great job in recycling their waste, but we know that some residents are putting the wrong things in their recycling, or are putting recycling in the black bin.

“It’s a problem that is costing our council taxpayers around £250,000 a year - money that could be spent on other services.

“We really need to understand what will encourage people to increase their recycling and reduce their black bin waste, and we need to know if there are changes we can introduce that will make recycling more attractive.”

The survey can be reached by visiting: www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/haveyoursay

The survey closes on October 9 and the winner of the IPad mini will be informed shortly after that.
