Have your say

Thousands of votes poured in as our readers had their say in which hairdressing or beauty salon is a cut above the rest in West Norfolk.

We asked you to help us find the top salon in our area that provides the best blow-drys, the perfect haircuts, the neatest threading, the hottest self-tans, the most relaxing massages, fantastic facials or the most glamorous nails.

After all the votes were counted up, there was a
clear winner with Lynn salon Everybody Hair and Beauty taking the title of the Lynn News’ Salon of the Year 2014.

Lynn News Editor Nick Woodhead said: “Congratulations to the team at Everybody Hair and Beauty, our very popular winners. From the number of votes we received, it is clear that Lynn News readers are big fans of your work and the title of Salon of the Year 2014 is well-deserved.”

The salon, which can be found in Railway Road, received the most votes thanks to customers and supporters who emailed, texted and posted their favourite in to us.

Owner Jo Mayes said: “We’re thrilled! The girls are buzzing and we’re so pleased. We’ve worked really hard this year and the girls really deserve this.

“I want to say a huge thank-you to all the voters and customers who have supported us, we only put the poster up in the window last week so we’re really pleased with the response.”

Jo has been in the beauty industry for 25 years and is still very passionate about her job. She leads a team of 18, with 10 hairdressing staff and a further five in the beauty salon.

“It’s a lovely boost for us and I want to thank the girls who have been so loyal, dedicated and passionate about what they do – it obviously shows to the customers.

“We’re a close bunch and we’ll all be celebrating together when we go out for brunch next weekend.”

The salon has launched a new website this week, listing all available treatments, haircuts and more. Go to www.everybodyhairandbeauty.co.uk
