Transport volunteers are planning to become festive fundraisers in support of a leading aid charity’s Christmas appeal.

Workers at West Norfolk Community Transport (WNCT) spend their days helping hundreds of people to get around the area.

But they are also planning to don some garish seasonal knitwear next Friday, December 12, in support of Save The Children’s Make the World Better with a Sweater campaign.

Paul Ruskin, WNCT’s transport manager, said: “As a charitable organisation we rely heavily on the goodwill and donation of others, so we thought it would be the festive thing to do to support this wonderful campaign.

“Of course it will also be good fun for our dedicated staff and invaluable volunteers. It will be a good team building exercise.”

He added: “We will be giving away a prize for the best jumper and holding a fundraising sweepstake on the day.”

Participants in the campaign are asked to donate £2 for wearing a festive jumper. Anyone wanting to support the team can phone 01553 776971 or email enquiries@wnct.co.uk
