A national pub chain has withdrawn its planning application for a £1.3 million make over for a Downham pub.
Wetherspoons was looking to transform the White Hart. But the firm says it has been asked by West Norfolk Council to withdraw its planning applications.
A council spokesman said the chain had been asked to re-submit the application as consultees were not clear on what the were commenting.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “ The application has been withdrawn at the request of the council, as they required additional information.
“We are working on the additional information and will resubmit our plans in due course. Wetherspoon is still very keen to develop the site.”
