Staff from a Lynn firm swapped four wheels for two by supporting Cycle to Work Day.

Up to 100 staff from Foster Refrigerator took part in the national event,on September 3, to raise awareness of health and the environmental benefits of cycling.

Christine Hartshorne, who organised the event at the Oldmedow Road site, said: “It was great to see the car park so empty!

“We had staff making the effort to cycle in from around the county, with one member of staff making a 20 mile round trip from Flitcham to our Lynn site.

“The health benefits of cycling are well known, and we are really pleased so many staff chose to take part.

“Foster has a keen group of cyclists who take part in endurance cycling events for charity each year – organising the Tour De Foster cycle ride from Paris to Lynn earlier this year, but it is also important to promote pedal power on shorter, every-day journeys.”
