A woman from Lynn has been given a suspended jail sentence after pleading guilty to child neglect.
The 32-year-old woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, when she appeared before magistrates in Lynn last Thursday.
The court heard the incident happened in Lynn on January 31 this year and involved two children under the age of 16 which the woman was responsible for.
Court documents reveal the children were left alone with a door unlocked.
Knives were also present and there was a risk of one of the children choking.
The woman, who papers showed had previously received a caution for child neglect, was also ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge.
