Police are appealing for more information after a loose dog attacked a woman and her pet.

The woman and her dog were walking along Wesley Road on Thursday last week at 11.30am.

A black terrier or mongrel, which was wearing a blue collar, continued to jump up at the woman before attacking the other animal.

The woman suffered a deep cut to her hand along with bite marks.

Her dog was also bitten and scratched, but was also left with a loose flap of skin on one of its legs.

The incident happened close to the Tyndale junction.

Anyone with information should call police on the 101 number.
