Work at the site of the new Tesco supermarket in Swaffham to widen the junction of the A1065 Castle Acre Road and Brocks Road, is now due to start on Monday.

The works were originally scheduled to start on January 27.

The improvements, expected to take six weeks to complete, are required as part of the new supermarket development on Castle Acre Road/Brocks Road.

Castle Acre Road will remain open to traffic although temporary traffic lights will be in operation for the majority of the works.

Brocks Road will be closed at its junction with Castle Acre Road and access will be via Green Way and Turbine Way.

The work, which is being paid for by the developers, will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s environment, transport and development department and their contractors on behalf of the developer.
