This Thursday, Lynn’s Christmas lights will be switched on by Paul Akister, who left X Factor last weekend, and he will be joined by Rough Copy, who played Festival Too in the summer.
There will be more music by the local Rock Choir plus the Battle Of The Acoustic Bands winners Georgia Shackleton Trio and Morganway.
Stars from the King’s Lynn Corn Exchange pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, including Sue Holderness of Only Fools and Horses fame, will also join in the fun together with the KL.FM team for the big switch on.
Taking place in Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place from 5.30pm on Thursday, there is a chance for shoppers to win £500 of vouchers to spend in Lynn stores.
The switch-on is organised by West Norfolk Borough Council and The Vancouver Quarter Shopping Centre.
It marks the start of late-night shopping every Thursday evening until Christmas, with shops open until 8pm and free parking in some council-owned car parks.
