Last Saturday hundreds of young astronomers came together at Tottenhill Village Hall.
Hosted by the King’s Lynn and District Astronomy Society, Junior Stargazing Live saw youngsters aged 5-17 from a variety of walks of life borrow the society’s equipment and make their interest in astronomy an active one.
Under the society’s guidance, they would be taught and encouraged to stargaze, star-hop, spot nebulae and much more in the name of astronomy.
The society’s committee secretary Alan Gosling said: “We are dedicated to spreading information about astronomy and want to give people a chance to try it out for themselves to see if it’s a hobby that would interest them”.
On the second and fourth Mondays of each month, the society holds talks, with a night dedicated to observation the following Wednesday.
