“We are looking forward to a host of golden daffodils in the orchard this spring,” said community orchard chairman Kate Dunbar after Hunstanton Young Carers joined in planting ready for spring.

They joined with committee members to plant daffodil and pheasant eye bulbs in the wildflower area at the Community Centre in Avenue Road.

Bio diversity officer Adrian Winnington said: “The Young Carers’ help is greatly appreciated and the daffodil bulbs will not only look lovely in the spring but will be a welcome nectar bar open for business for any early appearing insects such as bumble bees.” Kate added.

The Benjamin Foundation group for young carers meets at Hunstanton Community Centre each Thursday. The group is working up ideas for their entry into the Hunstanton Christmas Tree Festival.
