King’s Lynn Lions have donated £500 to the local branch of the National Autistic Society (NAS) to help fund a group of youngsters who suffer from ‘autistic spectrum disorder’.

The donation will go towards the cost of keeping a teenage club running. The group, which has two sessions a month, provides a different environment for the youngsters to meet in a safe and friendly environment and share and discuss ideas, concerns or fears with others. The cheque was presented at a Lions meeting by vice-president Paul Southerton, to Delores Williamson, from the local NAS branch, who gave a short talk about their work.
