Have your say

I was shocked by the story about former mayor Zipha Christopher moving 200 miles away and staying on as a councillor. Why not just do the decent thing and resign?

She cannot be an effective councillor at such a distance. It seems a touch arrogant to assume she can.

Other councillors have resigned due to family or work responsibilities and everybody understands. Relocating such a distance and saying she will stay on is mind-boggling.

Nick Daubney seems very defensive on this issue. I wonder what his reaction would be were the councillor from another political party and not his own?

Perhaps the chief executive of the council should earn some of his vast salary and sort this matter out.
