Have your say

There seems some confusion already in Mrs May’s new shiny government.

Philip Hammond muttered something about six years while David Davis suggests next year, to set the ball rolling, all rather concerning. Reader Mr Warden meanwhile is lumbered with a “Remain wretch” as our PM.

Humour at such times can prove an invaluable in lowering the temperature of heated debate so dare I try a joke which I am sure will appeal to Edward Wheatley, who so admires our Health Secretary. Here goes. “Mr Hunt has announced that he is happy to remain in post but points out that he will not cover weekends.” Worth a chuckle, I thought.

To conclude on a more serious note, the Chilcot Report confirms what we all knew, the Blair government lied.

Some even talk of impeachment.

The horrible fact is that the right wing press which led the charge to war in Iraq is that same rabble which called for Brexit. As the Chinese say, “Be careful of what you wish for.”
