Have your say

Friday’s story about the dog bowled over by an inconsiderate cyclist does not surprise me.

I walk into work along the cycle route that cuts through Lynnsport and emerges at Gaywood Road – and every day I experience near-misses with speeding cyclists. I know pro-cyclists will say it’s a cycle route. A cycle route, yes; a velodrome, no!

Whether it’s a single, heads-down ‘speeder’ or a pack of ‘menaces’ – a walk to work is a lottery. And it doesn’t end there – on the footpath along Gaywood Road into town you constantly have to step aside for marauding cyclists.

I share the concerns of the lady in your story – someone WILL get seriously hurt, or worse, soon.
