Have your say

I read with tremendous interest today, the column by Big Eye in the Lynn News regarding yet another pay rise coming up for what I personally consider are our already grossly overpaid and vastly underworked MPs.

I read with tremendous interest today, the column by Big Eye in the Lynn News regarding yet another pay rise coming up for what I personally consider are our already grossly overpaid and vastly underworked MPs.

Being a now senior citizen, I get my state pension, pension credit and a small pension from when I worked, but they do not allow us to live the life of luxury our MPs think we do, and paying for meals we can only dream of having, regardless of cost and as we all know, claiming expenses for classing them as business meetings, as if we are as stupid as they are.

In April, I will be awarded a massive rise of just under £3.50 per week, while MPs who sit in the House just when they feel like it, are to get over another £1,000 per year, but for what exactly?
