Have your say

In the 1960s I used to work at what was then Milton the butcher’s on Baxter’s Plain in Lynn, where the main post office was. I

t was a hive of activity for many years, but later became a sad, unused building. People have suggested many uses for this lovely building, such as shops and flats, but having seen our town, I think there are far too many empty shops already. My thoughts are to turn this into an overspill hospital as the Queen Elizabeth Hospital is quite often under pressure. This building is ideal, it’s in the centre of Lynn, car parking is cheaper than the QEH, there’s a big drive at the rear where ambulances can drive straight in and also a small car park at the rear where doctors and nurses could park. With the hospital located here, it could bring more people into town to spend money and boost trade.

I know there are people who will disagree, but this is my idea so the building can be put to good use and not fall into disrepair. Please don’t leave this building until it’s too late.
